On Wednesday, telangana chief minister A. revanth reddy said that the National turmeric Board was not established by the bjp, despite having promised to do so five years prior, thereby defrauding the turmeric farmers of Nizamabad. He claimed that the bjp is once more riding the turmeric farmers for a ride on this issue, just as in 2019.

During a roadshow for congress candidate T. jeevan reddy in Armoor, nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency, the chief minister encouraged farmers in nizamabad and Armoor to emulate punjabi and haryana farmers who compelled the narendra modi government to revoke three anti-agricultural laws.

According to revanth reddy, the National turmeric Board in nizamabad was a pledge made by the bjp during the 2019 elections. He remembered that Union minister Rajnath Singh had been invited by bjp candidate Dharampuri Arvind to declare that the Centre will establish the turmeric Board.

He said that five years later, Arvind brought prime minister narendra modi to make the same declaration once more and questioned whether the prime minister uses the same kind of postponement strategies for the states in northern india that he had promised.

Additionally, revanth reddy attacked Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), claiming that its leader, K. Kavitha, had similarly broken his pledges to the nizamabad seat following the 2014 election victory. T

According to him, money totaling Rs 42 crore have been allocated to settle the sugar mills' arrears, and his government has already started working on an action plan to reopen the plants in the constituency.
