Wrestler Bajrang Punia's reaction has come to light after being temporarily suspended by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA). Earlier, while sharing a video on X, Bajrang Punia had said, "For the news coming about me for dope test, I want to clarify that I never refused to give the sample to NADA officials. I requested him to answer me as to what steps he took on the expired kit that he had brought to collect my sample and then take my dope test. Will reply to the letter in due time."

Bajrang Punia was accused of refusing to give his urine sample during the trials held in Sonipat. On march 10, Bajrang Punia was asked by NADA to give his sample. Poonia is accused of refusing to give the sample. The World Anti-Doping Agency was informed about this. After this, NADA was suggested by WADA to issue a notice to Bajrang Punia and seek his reply. On this, NADA had issued a notice to Bajrang Punia on 23 april and sought his reply by 7 May. Until the temporary suspension imposed on Bajrang Punia by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) is lifted, he will not be able to participate in any tournament or trials.
