Delhi cm Arvind Kejriwal

Will delhi chief minister arvind kejriwal be able to come out of jail on bail before voting on 25 May in Delhi? This question is being asked because during the hearing in the supreme court, it seemed that he would get interim bail today. But the supreme court has not yet given any decision on bail. However, the court has given many such indications during the hearing, which have increased the chances of cm kejriwal getting bail.

The supreme court said that we are considering Kejriwal's interim bail. These are extraordinary circumstances. He is the elected chief minister of delhi, not a habitual offender. On ED's opposition, the court said that he also has full right to campaign.

On this, ED's lawyer argued that are we setting an example that he is a Chief Minister. According to this, other MPs and MLAs will also come to take bail. Can election campaign be such a big argument? The lawyer of the investigating agency said that if kejriwal does not campaign, the sky will not fall.

On the protest of ED, the supreme court bench replied in a strict tone, 'Elections are held once in 5 years. This is not a crop that is grown every year. We do not want any difference to be made between common people and leaders. From the attitude and comments of the supreme court, it seemed that it had made up its mind to grant bail to cm Kejriwal. After the hearing started at 10:30 in the morning, the court had decided the conditions of bail before lunch.

Kejriwal's lawyer Abhishek manu Singhvi argued that free and fair elections are the strength of democracy. For this, it is necessary that all parties have equal participation in the elections. On this, the supreme court said that we are hearing on interim bail only because it is the time of elections. If it was not the time of elections, then there would be no question of interim bail.

The court said that if bail is granted, you will not work officially. This is a question of public interest. The court said that after getting bail, AAP will not interfere in the functioning of the government. On this, Singhvi said that cm kejriwal will not sign any file. The only condition is that lg will not stop any work on this basis. Till lunch time, it seemed that cm kejriwal will get bail from the supreme court today itself. But after lunch time, the supreme court bench adjourned without giving any decision. That means cm Kejriwal's bail has been put on hold. Now whether he will get bail or not will be known on 9 May.
