In the wake of the ongoing tension between india and Pakistan, the indian air Force has conducted large-scale air exercises to demonstrate its readiness. These exercises were held in the Central Sector under the name 'Operation Akram'. Along with top-notch domestic fighter jets, state-of-the-art Rafale fighter jets participated in this exercise. The atmosphere between the two countries has heated up due to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam. These exercises, which took place at this time, have assumed importance. According to information from air Force sources, major fighter aircraft like Rafale and Sukhoi-30 MKI participated in these exercises. The fighter jets were moved from various airbases and tested their capabilities in critical operational situations.

The drill focused on the skills of striking surface targets, especially in hilly and plain areas, in different geographical conditions. The pilots practiced their fighter jets to effectively neutralize enemy installations at long and short ranges. Electronic warfare drills were also part of the exercise, defense sources said.
Although it is part of the regular training exercises, 'Operation Akram' has assumed special significance in the context of the current border situation and regional security challenges.
