Those who strictly follow Covid rules have bad mental health..?

A new study has found that people who follow restrictions more often have worse mental health during the coronavirus outbreak. The covid or coronavirus has had a bad impact on the health of everyone all over the world. Apart from physical problems, the virus infection is said to have affected mental health as well. According to new research, people who are subject to the Covid lockdown rules have the worst psychological health today. A study conducted at Bangor university in the UK revealed that those who followed restrictions more often suffered from stress, anxiety, and depression during the coronavirus outbreak.
Researchers analyzed the compliance of more than 1,729 people in wales with the rules followed during the first lockdown in england from march to september 2020. They measured the level of psychological impacts among residents from february to May of the following year. This study shows significantly higher levels of persistent disturbance in mental well-being in more health-conscious individuals. However, it was also found that independent individuals were better able to recover from lockdown mode. The study also found it difficult for some people to go from receiving regular advice about following public health advice during the coronavirus pandemic to no advice at all after the lockdown. They identified that those who were more caring, sensitive, and aware of the needs of others were more likely to adhere to lockdown protocols more strictly. However, people who are more independent, more competitive, and with hovering control over their lives — are less likely to exhibit those behaviors, the study said. "The more people comply with health advice during the lockdown, the worse their well-being after the lockdown," said study leader Dr. Marley Villagers. Dr Villagers said the fear of a possible COVID outbreak proved to be a reversal and a disadvantage. "While increasing individuals' anxiety about contagion effectively drives compliance, it also has negative consequences for people's well-being and recovery." He also said. He further said, “Throughout the pandemic, messaging campaigns have been designed to ensure that people continue to follow the rules. But as we emerged from the pandemic, there was no messaging campaign to help everyone safely return to normal.

"Without it, some personality types maintain anti-infective behavior and anxiety that undermines their mental well-being," he said. As psychological and mental health services have increased in recent years, reports suggest that the coronavirus pandemic has taken a toll on the mental health of people in the UK.
