Sourav Ganguly, the former india captain, is experiencing mild symptoms after samples were positive for Covid-19 on monday night in Kolkata. It has been established that Sourav Ganguly, the chairman of the Board of Control for cricket in india (BCCI), has tested positive for the new coronavirus. According to reports, the former india skipper has been hospitalized at the Woodlands facility in kolkata with minor symptoms.

Physicians did not want to take any chances with the renowned cricketer, so he was admitted to the hospital on monday night. Genome sequencing will be performed on his samples taken to see if he has acquired the Omicron variation. "Last night, he was brought to Woodlands Nursing Home. PTI reported a bcci source as saying, "He has indeed been put on medication and is pretty stable." Ganguly has been brought to the hospital three times this year, the most recent being in january when he was sent twice after complaining of chest pain.

Ganguly had a cardiac arrest while exercising at his house in kolkata and had to get the right coronary angioplasty. Ganguly experienced similar chest symptoms 20 days later, prompting the second round of angioplasty on january 28. Two stents were inserted in two arteries during the procedure. In March, Ganguly returned to work and was fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Snehasish Ganguly, his brother, had screened positive for Covid-19 previously this year.
