Erica Fernandez is a telugu performer best known for her roles in films such as Galipatam and Dega. She revealed in a recent interview that she was "thin-shamed a lot" when acting in tamil and telugu flicks. She went on to remark, "I used to be quite self-conscious about my appearance and wore a lot of padding. They used to place padding all over the place. I used to be treated with contempt."

Although this behaviour has been prevalent in the movie industry for decades, this is nearly the first time that a celebrity has spoken out about it. Being slim or overweight is one of the physical characteristics, yet actresses are not allowed to perform as they are. On the filmmakers' request, the costume designers stitch paddings everywhere they think it's required to make the women look in good shape.

Erica Fernandes has been in a steady relationship, as most people are aware. She, on the other hand, remained tight-lipped about the man's identity. "It seemed like an off-and-on romance that I had for around three and a half years," the actress said in an interview with bollywood Bubble. "However, it did not work." Erica has struggled in the aftermath of her breakup. She claims, however, that she has learned from it. "I've fallen twice and gotten back up. As a result, I've become a very strong individual. So, the very next person I meet, I'm very sure I'm not going to be taken for granted."
