Aligarh: Muslim woman brought Ganpati Bappa home, Deoband issued a fatwa

After the fatwa was issued, bjp leaders came in support of Ruby and said that she need not panic.


Ganesh Utsav is being celebrated with great pomp all over the country. people have brought Ganpati Bappa to their homes and Ganpati Bappa's pandals have been set up from the streets to the squares. On this occasion of the Ganesh festival, a Muslim family of aligarh also established Ganpati Bappa. Ruby Asif Khan, a resident of ADA Colony of Rorawar police station area of aligarh, did not raise any objection to where her family had come to bring Ganpati home, keeping faith in Ganpati Bappa. After which she brought Ganpati Ji home with complete law and order. Ruby's husband Asif Khan also supported his wife and now the whole family is participating in the Ganesh festival.


Ruby Asif Khan told that he will immerse the idol of Ganpati Bappa after seven days on 6th September. Ruby brought Bappa with her feelings but there has been a lot of controversy over it. The Mufti of Deoband has issued a fatwa against Ruby. Mufti said that it is un-Islamic. Whereas bjp has come in support of Ruby. After the fatwa was issued, bjp leader Danish azad Ansari said that no one needs to be afraid.


There are different reactions to this on social media. Some people are objecting to the fatwa, some are respecting the sentiments of a Muslim woman. A user named Smita wrote, if she is reciting worship of her own free will, then what objection does anyone have?
