Meanwhile, Navi mumbai Municipal Corporation has indicated that the water supply will be disrupted in some areas of the metropolis during the next two days. Additional City engineer Civil of Navi mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) said that people of some areas of mumbai may have to face water shortage on 14th and 15th May. Additional City engineer Civil of Navi mumbai Municipal Corporation has appealed to the people that to avoid water shortage on 14th and 15th May, people of the affected areas should store water in advance. So that there is no problem if the water supply is disrupted.
There will be no water supply in these areas
According to the officials of Navi mumbai Municipal Corporation, the second phase of work will be done by Navi mumbai Municipal Corporation on 14 May 2025 to remove the continuous water leakage along the railway tracks near Agaroli Bridge on Morbe main waterway and under the bridge near Chikhale village.
Due to repair work in the water pipeline, water supply from Bhokarpada water treatment plant to Navi mumbai Municipal Corporation area will be closed for 24 hours from 12 noon on 14 May to 12 noon on 15 May. Drinking water supply is likely to be disrupted in Belapur, Nerul, Vashi, Turbhe, Sanpada, Koparkhairane, Ghansoli and Airoli divisions of Navi mumbai Municipal Corporation area on wednesday evening and at 11 am on Thursday.
NMMC made this appeal to the people
Actually, on May 15, 2025, direct tap connections on water main lines in Navi mumbai Municipal Corporation area and water supply in kharghar and Kamothe nodes in CIDCO area will also be closed for 24 hours till 12 noon. Officials have appealed to the citizens of Navi mumbai Municipal Corporation area to use water economically during this period.
