Darbuka Siva was a radio Jockey and later ventured into kollywood making his debut as an actor in the heist comedy movie Rajathandhiram and was also seen in comic roles in Dhanush's Thodari. 

Following this Darbuka Siva is now a director who will debut with a movie titled Mudhal Nee Mudivum Nee. Bankrolled by Super Talkies, the movie will have Darbuka Siva also scoring the music.
