After losing more than 7 sessions to rainfall at the Ageas Bowl, Day 5 had some sunshine on the ground and all the 3 sessions happened without any weather interference. But, the interference reached in another form, and that too in the form of our indian audience. As per reports from the Cricinfo portal, two fans who were seated on Block M were making some abusive and racial comments against the new zealand players who were fielding near the boundary line at the Rose Bowl cricket ground.

In a statement released by ICC, they have said, "The cricket ground security found the culprits immediately and they were thrown out of the ground at once. No such abusive and racial behavior will be tolerated inside the cricket ground in any forms."

However, no action apart from throwing them out of the ground has been taken and ICC is waiting for more updates regarding this racial abuse incident from the security guards. But, Tim Southee, revealed that none of the Kiwi players are aware of such an abusive incident at the dressing room and he also confessed the game is played only on good spirits and they are focused only on what is happening inside the field.
