After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April, india attacked nine terrorist bases in pakistan and PoK under 'Operation Sindoor' on the night of 6-7 May. Turkey expressed sympathy towards pakistan and called India's move a threat of war. On the matter, Turkey's Foreign Ministry said on 'X', "We are concerned about the threat of war created by the attack carried out by india on the night of 6-7 May. We condemn provocative steps and actions like targeting civilian targets." He advocated restraint and diplomatic solution from both sides. india clearly said that it targeted terrorist hideouts in Operation Sindoor, in which no attack was made on Pakistani military or civilian locations.

Azerbaijan condemned military attacks

Azerbaijan also reacted negatively to India's action. They said, "We are concerned about the growing tension between india and Pakistan. We condemn the military attacks on pakistan, in which civilians were killed." azerbaijan called this incident a unilateral aggression and expressed condolences to the victim families of Pakistan. However, it was clarified from India's side that all the attacks were on terrorist training centers.

Qatar advocates diplomacy and appeals to reduce tension

Qatar's statement was a little balanced, but it clearly asked both the countries to exercise restraint and reduce tension. Qatar's Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying, "We are monitoring the ongoing tension between india and pakistan with deep concern. Appeals to both countries to exercise restraint, follow good neighbourly principles and resolve disputes through diplomatic means.''

Global support and opposition

The US, israel and european countries praised India's action and called it a precise and restrained step. india made it clear that the attacks were not on any Pakistani civilian, military or economic establishment. Only the strongholds of Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen were targeted.
