Trisha is a prominent indian actress who works predominantly in tamil and telugu language movies. She even worked on a few bollywood movies. She started her career in 1999 with the movie 'Jodi' and her first lead role came in 2002 in the movie 'Mounam Pesiyadhe' where she paired opposite Suriya. Then Vikram's 'Saamy' in 2003 changed her career as a star actress and she continuously featured in some blockbusters like 'Ghilli' and 'Aaru'.

The actress entered 39 and still, she rules kollywood with her glam and glitz. However, her upcoming movies are female-centric movies and her last release 'Paramapatham Vilayaatu' received brickbats from fans and movie buffs despite it was a female-centric flick. But trisha despite that flop prefers to do such movies rather than doing commercial masala movies. Well, she has a reason not to choose commercial movies.

Also, trisha was supposed to do 'Acharya' but she backed out at the last minute. She is completely focusing on tamil movies and she is wishing to do meaty roles and doesn't want to do the regular dance and song routines and that is the reason, she is rejecting commercial films in both telugu and Tamil. The actress will be seen next in Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan' where she will be seen as Kunthavai.
