While Covaxin is developed by Bharat Biotech and ICMR. The Covieshield is developed by Oxford/AstraZeneca.

With all these vaccines available in the country people were in a dilemma to choose the vaccine. There were many debates that Covishield is Better than Covaxin earlier. In india, vaccines are only being given to adults while the approval for the Children clinical trials have been recently granted. However, according to a recent study Covishield had higher seropositivity when compared to Covaxin.

The research, which included 515 healthcare personnel, 425 personnel who received Covishield found to have a seropositivity rate of 98.1 per cent. While 90 personnel who received Covaxin had 80.0% seropositivity.   Those who had suffered from extreme symptomatic pulmonary syndrome (SARS-CoV-2) and cured healthcare professionals were among the beneficiaries. The research was a cross-sectional coronavirus Vaccine-induced Antibody Titre investigation that took place across India. Now Screening for 525 children has been started in india for the Covaxin clinical trials.
