Women's IPL auction: Unexpected twist..!?

In the auction for women's IPL cricket series, the expectation has reached a peak as the players are being bought for crores of rupees. Like the IPL cricket series, the women's IPL series will be held in india this year. The players' auction was held today in the environment where it was announced that the matches will start on march 4. In the auction that started at the jio World Convention Center in mumbai, a total of 5 teams namely delhi Capitals, gujarat Giants, mumbai indians, royal challengers Bangalore, and Uttar Pradesh Warriors are participating.
It started as an auction for a total of 90 places, with each team able to select a maximum of 18 players. For this, 409 people including 246 indians and 163 foreigners are being auctioned. It was announced that each team can spend up to Rs.12 crore. As it is the first season auction, there has been a big turn in the environment where the fans expected the auction to take place at a low price.Indian star Smriti Mandhana was the first person to compete in the auction. Ever since the announcement of the name, mumbai indians and Bengaluru teams have been competing fiercely. The auction, which started with a base amount of Rs.50 lakhs, went beyond Rs.3 crores, so other teams did not even come forward to ask for bids. However, in the end, Bengaluru bought the team by paying Rs. 3.4 crores. The Bengaluru team also opened a net for indian team captain Harman Preet. At first, Bengaluru and delhi Capitals teams were competing, but in between, mumbai indians offered to drop crores. While the Uttar Pradesh team refused to ask for Rs 1.7 crore, mumbai indians shelled out Rs 1.8 crore.The much-anticipated Shafali Verma was sold for Rs 12 crores. delhi Capitals bought the team for 2 crores. Not only the indian stars but foreign players also had tough competition. Australian Ashleigh Gardner was auctioned by gujarat Giants for Rs 3.2 crore. England's star player Natalie Cypher was bought by mumbai indians for Rs 3.2 crore. There is a condition that each team has to spend up to Rs.12 crore each. cricket fan bidding for women's IPL has skyrocketed with teams paying up to Rs 3 crore per player within this low amount.
