All the laborers trapped in the Uttarkashi tunnel have been rescued on the 17th day of the accident. Due to the

prayers of the people and the hard work of the rescue team, the operation was completed successfully.

Meanwhile, delhi CM arvind kejriwal said that the hard work of NDRF, army and other agencies paid off and

all the workers trapped in the tunnel of uttarakhand have been rescued safely.

CM said that I salute the efforts and hard work of all the people involved in this operation who worked day and

night to make it successful. The prayers of all the countrymen came in handy. I also salute the patience and

courage of all those workers who supported and encouraged each other in adverse circumstances. This is the

victory of unity of the people of India.

The first worker was taken out at 7.45 pm on tuesday (28 November). In this way, the process of evacuating the

workers trapped in the Silkyara Tunnel in uttarakhand for the last 17 days ended. All 41 workers were evacuated

safely. Officials said the workers were pulled out one by one through an 800 mm pipe that was drilled into the

debris. uttarakhand Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Union minister of State for Road Transport and

Highways General (Retd) VK Singh were also present during the evacuation of workers. The Chief Minister

hugged the workers who were thrown out and talked to them. He also praised the courage of the people engaged

in rescue work. Earlier, an official associated with the operation said that at 7.05 pm, the debris spread in the

blocked part of the tunnel was excavated and the pipe was passed through. On the night of diwali (12 November),

debris fell during the excavation of the tunnel in which 41 workers were trapped inside.
