Vice President jagdeep dhankhar on monday (27 November) described mahatma gandhi as a great man of the

last century and termed prime minister narendra modi as the man of this century. Speaking at the birth

anniversary celebrations of Jain thinker and philosopher Shrimad Rajchandraji, Ghankhar said, Mahatma

gandhi freed us from the slavery of the british through Satyagraha and non-violence. India’s successful Prime

Minister narendra modi took us to the path where we always wanted to go. I want to tell you one thing.

What did jagdeep dhankhar say?

Dhankhar said that two great personalities – father of the Nation mahatma gandhi and PM Modi have one thing

in common. He has reflected Shrimad Rajchandraji. He said, The forces opposing the development of this

nation and the forces which cannot digest the rise of this country are coming together. Whenever something

good happens in the country, these people come into a different mood. It should not happen.

Dhankhar said that the danger is very big. The countries that you see around (us), their history is 300 or 500 or

700 years old, (whereas) our history is 5,000 years old.”

Shrimad Rajchandraji was born in gujarat in 1867 and died in 1901. He is known for his teachings on Jainism

and the spiritual guidance of mahatma Gandhi. Shrimad Rajchandraji and mahatma gandhi first met in Mumbai

in 1891, when he (Gandhi) returned from england as a young barrister.
