Our world is gradually being invaded by artificial intelligence technologies. Be it chatbots like ChatGPT, gemini AI, Krok, Meta AI, AI agents, and other smart devices, AI has started to take its place in our daily lives. Researchers have now warned that such artificial intelligence technologies are causing great harm to our brains. A report published in the Economic Times states that when professionals use AI tools frequently, their thinking ability decreases. It is also stated that most of them form an emotional bond with such apps, which leads them to become even more lonely.
In an interview, Tech Justice founder and lawyer Mithali Jain said that those who frequently use apps like ChatGPT express feelings as if they have a mental illness. A 14-year-old boy recently committed suicide due to the influence of a company called Character.AI. Mithali Jain, who is appearing as a lawyer in the case, says that the suicide was caused by the creators of such AI apps and those who funded them.
An educational institution called the Massachusetts Institute of technology in the US recently conducted a study. The study says that those who use ChatGPT regularly have decreased brain function, decreased memory, and decreased creativity. Experts warn that most people will become dependent on such apps in the future and that there is a risk of losing the unique thinking ability that is unique to humans.
Earlier, ChatGPT CEO sam Altman also said that we are continuously researching how to warn users who are mentally affected by using ChatGPT too much. He said that when we warned ChatGPT users before, they sent us a complaint email saying that the app was not working properly.

AI apps are not like social media, they are also creating things that control our brains and start controlling us, says author Douglas Reskop. Therefore, he has requested that companies and governments that develop such AI tools should also consider the negative impacts they may have on users.
