The Andhrapradesh state bifurcation as aware has created tsunamis in the political part and is now getting ready cause hell lot of troubles in terms of administration, education, Road transport, water issues… what else and what not. The whole division process, though was initiated some time back has not come to any clarity even till date. This is leaving the to-be newly formed state Governments in the two states of Andhrapradesh and Telangana in utter confusions.
One major confusion now is being created in terms of the Road Transport department as there were no clear instructions released till date in terms of vehicle registrations. There are about 70 lach vehicles in the 10 districts of Telangana state. The owners of these are in waiting still to know whether they have to entirely change the number plates or not after the appointed date, June 2nd when Telangana comes into existence.
Senior officials from the Road Transport authorities are into saying that as per the instructions they have the new series of registrations would start for the new vehicles that would be going in for registration after the appointed day. Vehicle number series would start from TG 01 to TG 10 in respect with the state of Telangana denoted by ‘TG’. Surprisingly they too are still waiting to get a nod for the ‘alphabet notification’ from the Ministry of Surface Transport.
The proposal has been already been sent and once it is approved, all registrations post-June 2 would have the new series ‘TG’. They stated that a change in the already existing number plates is the decision that has to be taken by the new government. But from the common man’s perspective, there is already enough confusion n regards with the high security number plates and now this change if at all has to be made would double it up. Hope the Telangana Government responds in favor of the public.
