However, more than Rs 150 crore in cash was leaked to the dismay of the authorities. Authorities raided Piyush's offices and followers' homes in kanpur and mumbai in gujarat and Uttar Pradesh. Authorities found similar bundles of banknotes in all areas where the searches were conducted. Officials said this was the first time in recent times that such a large amount of banknotes had been seized.

It was learned that the bank staff had taken away tens of thousands of banknote counting machines by the authorities as a large number of bundles of notes had come out.

It seems that the counting process will continue till saturday afternoon.

The issue has become a hot topic in the wake of the upcoming UP elections. Because piyush Jain Samajwadi party leader akhilesh yadav is known as a loyal pawn.

Piyush Jain has created many false invoices and evaded taxes, IT officials said. He claimed to have evaded tax by showing an invoice amount of less than Rs 50,000.
