Before donning the physician's cape for her character in Junglee Pictures' doctor G, rakul preet singh put in a lot of work. The starlet co-stars with ayushmann khurrana and shefali shah in the movie, where she plays physician Fatima. For this college comedy-drama directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, rakul had to master the medical language and the subtleties of what happens in a hospital and operating room.


Director Anubhuti was passionate about portraying the medical profession in the film right from the start. The goal was to make the actors feel at ease in the environments that they would encounter as medical practitioners. As part of their preparation, the movie's team had experts perform special sessions with the actors — rakul, Ayushmann, and Shefali — to make the healthcare environment in the film appear genuine.


Speaking with specialists, rakul believes, has given her a better grasp of the field and its expectations. “Shooting for doctor G has proven to be a fascinating experience,” she says. Because I'm portraying a physician, my demeanor and actions had to be accurate. To create the health sector look true on screen, it was necessary to study crucial aspects about it. The experience towards becoming Fatima was an incredible experience that I will remember for the rest of my life.”
