The air Force has also said that the investigation of the case is ongoing. In another post, the indian air Force said, 'In the firing with the terrorists, the soldiers fought back by firing. In this process, five IAF personnel were shot and were immediately taken to the nearest military hospital for medical treatment. One air Force soldier has died.'

Officials said that on saturday evening, four terrorists suddenly ambushed and started firing on the indian air Force vehicles going towards Sanai Top in Surankot area of Poonch. In which five security personnel were injured, two of whom were in critical condition. He said that one of the seriously injured soldiers, Vicky Pahad, later died during treatment. The indian air Force said in a post on social media, 'The convoy has been secured and further investigation is underway.'

The air Force attack took place when the soldiers were returning to the air Force base from Jaranwali. Officials suspect that the Sajid Jatt group is behind this attack.
