Indian Premiere League (IPL) has completed 10 seasons so far and all these editions were aired live on Sony Network. As the contract period for 10 years has ended, there have been high expectations on the new bidder and Star Sports grabbed the new contract for next five seasons (2018-2022) for a whopping price of $2.55 Billion.
Sony Network clearly focuses more on the cheer leaders and even during the Extra Innings program, it brought the cheer leaders inside the studios itself. But, on the contrary, Star Sports has promised to bring a sports filled IPL without any glamor.
Yes, there won't be any cheer leaders from 2018 IPL edition. This was revealed by the executive chairman Mr.Udhay Shankar. He also revealed that IPL is some serious sport and Star Sports will showcase that in such a way!
