Outtakes from HBO Max's Peacemaker episode 5 feature john Cena's impromptu outburst to colleague john Economos as his main protagonist. The online title is the DC Extended Universe's inaugural small-screen instalment, serving as a successor and spin-off to The Suicide Squad, focusing on Cena's Peacemaker after the happenings of the solo sequel. 


Peacemaker season 1 was written and directed by james Gunn, who also developed and directed the movie. Jody Hill, Rosemary Rodriguez, and Brad Anderson helmed the remaining three segments. Peacemaker has been praised for its distinct brand of humour and for Cena's primary performance since its debut early last month, and his episode 5 outburst has proven to be one of the series's most popular moments. 


Agee stated recently that Cena's outburst was fully improvised, with Gunn's original version calling out Ariana Grande and another star for the actor to name-drop, though he advised Cena to keep going. The Outtakes from the latest fifth episode of The Peacemaker illustrate Cena's improv talents, with names ranging from imaginary characters Bert and Ernie to dead luminaries like Jim Morrison and George Carlin, along with show's creator Gunn and co-star Freddie Stroma.
