More than 200 people work in more than 50 rooms in this firecracker factory. In such a situation, today when the workers were working as usual, a terrible explosion occurred due to friction. The explosion in one room spread to the adjacent rooms. Seven rooms were completely burnt in this. The explosion was so terrible that no one even got a chance to escape. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and rescued the injured.
According to the information received, police and fire brigade personnel reached the spot for rescue work and the injured were taken to Virudhunagar government Medical college and Hospital. In this accident, 8 people including 5 women died on the spot.
