The lok sabha elections are scheduled on May 13, and the hyderabad police are working nonstop to ensure that everything runs well. In a presentation to the media on Monday, hyderabad Commissioner of police K Sreenivasa reddy stated that 14,000 officers, including members of the Central Armed police Forces (CAPF), will be stationed around the city for the election process.
 

The members of the CAPF would be stationed at polling places around the city by the directives issued by the election commission of india (EC).
 
Hyderabad has received 22 CAPF firms from the EC. The telangana State Special police and the City Armed Reserve would be stationed at voting places as needed, the Commissioner declared.
 
He said that sufficient security measures have been put in place for ASD (Absent Shifted and Dead) voters at specific Hyderabadi voting locations, which have been designated as key locations.


In addition, during the polling process, police pickets, FST/SST teams, Quick Response Teams (QRT), Special Striking Force (SSF), and information-gathering teams will be in place.
 
According to the hyderabad CP, strict security would be upheld at the distribution, receiving, and counting facilities in compliance with ECI regulations.
 
He said, "During the vehicle checking, the police have so far seized Rs. 18 crore in cash and Rs. 12 crore worth of gold, silver, spirits, drugs, etc."
