Light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning and gusty winds (30 kmph to 40 kmph) may occur at a few places in tamil Nadu, Puduvai and Karaikal today due to low atmospheric circulation over South India. According to the chennai Meteorological Department, 9 districts including Theni, Dindigul, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Erode and salem are likely to experience heavy rain.In a press release issued by the chennai Meteorological Department in this regard: Due to the low atmospheric circulation over South India, light to moderate rains with thunder, lightning and gusty winds (30 to 40 kilometers per hour) are likely to occur at a couple of places in tamil Nadu, Puduvai and Karaikal today.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in tamil Nadu tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, Puduwai and Karaikal. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur at a few places in tamil Nadu, Puduvai and Karaikal on 7th. Theni, Dindigul, Tirupur. Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Erode, salem, Dharmapuri and krishnagiri districts are likely to receive heavy rain at one or two places.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur at a few places in tamil Nadu, Puduvai and Karaikal districts on 8th. Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Theni, Dindigul, Tirupur, Virudhunagar districts, tenkasi and tirunelveli districts are likely to receive heavy rain at one or two places. Light to moderate rain may occur at a few places in tamil Nadu, Puduwai and Karaikal on 9th and 10th.

There is little chance of major change in the maximum temperature in the interior districts of tamil Nadu today and tomorrow for the next 3 days. The maximum temperature may gradually decrease to 2° Celsius for the next 2 days. For the next 5 days from today to 8th, the maximum temperature may be 2°-4° Celsius above normal at a few places in the interior districts of tamil Nadu.

From today to tomorrow, the maximum temperature may run 3°-5° Celsius above normal at a few places in the interior districts of North tamil Nadu. From today to the 8th, the maximum temperature for the next 5 days will be 41°-43° Celsius in some places in the plains of northern tamil Nadu interior districts, 39°-40° Celsius in the plains of other districts of tamil Nadu, 36°-38° in the coastal districts of tamil Nadu, Puduwai and Karaikal.
