Booster shot for the new variant of covid-19: Moderna vaccine

The new variant 'Omicron' which is highly transmissible and also a variant of concern, had made the US Pharmaceutical company Moderna develop a new booster vaccine. On Friday, Moderna said that they will develop a booster shot against the new variant. It is working on three strategies to cope up with the new variant.
It also plans to add a high dose of the existing vaccine. The mutation is also high in the omicron variant which is concerning to the whole world. The Moderna is being as fast as possible to address the new variant said Stephane Moderna CEO.
          The Moderna also previously included a booster shot for the past beta and delta variants. This omicron variant which is of concern was first found in south africa was named by WHO derived from the Greek letter system. The variant has spread from south africa to europe and also Asia. belgium reported the first case of a new variant in Europe.
In Hong Kong, the first case of the new variant was also found. BioNTech who found the Pfizer vaccine also asked for more data about the new variant. They asked for the data within two weeks to determine the already made Pfizer vaccine which can be reworked.
