Kaithi clashed with the vijay starrer bigil helmed by atlee and the movie has literally smashed bigil, as Kaithi replaced bigil in almost all bigger screens and bigil has turned out to be a disaster. Kaithi also won the TRP ratings and it emerged as a bigger success.

In a recent interview Dream warrior pictures producer, SR Prabhu has said that  Karthi's next movie sultan helmed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan and co-starring rashmika mandanna is 90% completed and only few portions are left and it will be canned once the pandemic gets over.
