Why did uddhav thackeray apologize to people from stage?
There is a direct contest between Mahavikas Aghadi and nda in the lok sabha elections in Maharashtra. Leaders of both the alliance parties are targeting each other. Meanwhile, during a rally in Ichalkaranji in Kolhapur district on wednesday (May 1), shiv sena (UBT) chief uddhav thackeray said that prime minister Narendra Modi has betrayed Maharashtra. He apologizes to the people for asking for votes for the prime minister in the earlier elections.
Uddhav thackeray along with maha Vikas Aghadi ally and ncp (SP) chief sharad pawar on wednesday held a rally in support of shiv sena (UBT) candidate Satyajit Footil from Hatkanangle constituency. Referring to the incident of change of power in the rally, thackeray said, 'The supreme court did not give its verdict as to whose real shiv sena it is, but the election commission and the assembly Speaker gave their verdict.'
Thackeray said that 'when no one was ready to join hands with BJP, shiv sena was with BJP, but they brought down the government of a person whose family did everything for BJP. I sought votes for PM Modi in the earlier elections. For this I apologize to all of you, he has betrayed Maharashtra.
Sharad Pawar targeted
Apart from this, sharad pawar said that Modi only criticizes me and thackeray during his maharashtra tour instead of speaking about his plans for the state. Pawar accused PM Modi of misuse of central agencies. sharad pawar further said that when prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru used to visit states, he used to talk about the country, while indira gandhi used to talk about poverty alleviation, but this PM does not rest until he meets thackeray and me.
