The 'Organiser', a magazine associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, has accused the e-commerce company amazon of funding the conversion. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh-affiliated magazine The Organiser, in its latest issue, has published a cover story accusing e-commerce giant amazon of funding religious conversions in Northeast India. In this cover story titled 'Amazing Cross Connection', the magazine also alleged that the company has financial ties with an organization called 'American Baptist Church' which is accused of running a conversion module. amazon has funded this church on several occasions.

The magazine said that amazon is funding the American Baptist Church (ABM) for the Christian conversion module. Apart from amazon, this church is getting funding from many other multinational companies through money laundering. The magazine also alleged that the church was running a front in india called the All india Mission (AIM). It is their frontal organization that openly claims on their website that they have converted 25 thousand people to christianity in North east India. The magazine has said that amazon is supporting the conversion module of the pan-India mission by donating money on every purchase by an Indian.

According to a report in The indian Express, amazon has rejected these serious allegations outright. A company spokesperson said amazon india has no affiliation with the All india Mission or its affiliates, nor does the AmazonSmile program operate on the amazon india marketplace.

The magazine The Organizer has also claimed that the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has taken cognizance of the issue following an earlier report by the magazine in September. Speaking to The indian Express, NCPCR chairman Priyank Kanungo said that the commission had received a complaint in september about illegal conversions being carried out from Arunachal Pradesh through orphanages and allegedly funded by Amazon. We immediately took cognizance of the matter and sent a notice to amazon in September. But amazon did not respond…Then I issued a summons to amazon in october and met three officials of amazon india at the commission office on november 1.
