The Supreme Court of India in a important twist to Andhra Pradesh state division on Friday issued notices to the Centre and Telangana Rastra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhar Rao. SC took the decision after hearing on a petition filed by M.L. Sharma, an advocate of the Supreme Court challenging the AP Reorganisation Bill 2014.  In his petition, M.L. Sharma, alleged that the Centre’s action of passing the Bill illegal and unconstitutional. He also urged the court to stay the Appointed Day (June 2). The court while issuing notices refused to stay, the the Appointed Day.  Apex Court directed the Registry to post the petition along with the pleas pending before it against the Reorganisation Bill. Earlier Supreme Court refused to admit any petitions on Andhra Pradesh division asking them to come at appropriate time.  After Centre took the decision on Andhra Pradesh division, Supreme Court felt that the case should be referred to a constitutional bench with larger representation. It is yet to take decision regarding this matter and already discussions are going on as to what will be the effect on entire division process.
