Tirupati Hospital tragedy: andhra pradesh cm YSJagan announces ex gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the family of 11 people who died in the unfortunate incident.

Due to an interruption in the oxygen supply, 11 COVID patients died in Tirupati. The incident, which was registered in the city's Ruya government hospital, occurred when the hospital's staff was adjusting the oxygen byline supply and accidentally disrupted the supply of oxygen for a few minutes, resulting in the death of eight people and the worsening of the condition of a few others. A team of doctors is currently caring for them.

Within five minutes, the oxygen supply was restored, and everything returned to normal. "As a result of this, we might be able to avoid additional casualties," chittoor district collector M hari Narayanan said.

CM, YS jagan mohan reddy, expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and ordered a thorough investigation. He ordered that the causes of the incident be determined and that war-like steps be implemented to prevent similar incidents from occurring in any of the hospitals in the future. "Special attention should be paid not only to oxygen storage and supply but also to the maintenance of oxygen systems in hospitals," he said.

This is not the first time this has occurred. On April-24, 20 critical COVID-19 patients died as a result of a shortage of oxygen in Delhi's jaipur Golden hospital in Rohini, and over-200 more lives are at risk due to a lack of oxygen supply.
