This state government buys cow urine at Rs.4!!
Chhattisgarh state government has taken a new decision. In order to increase the income of the cattle breeders, it has taken another decision to benefit the organic farmers. The state government, which has been buying cow dung for the past two years, has now decided to buy cow urine at the rate of litres. Officials are making arrangements for this. The scheme will be implemented on the occasion of Hareli festival organized by the people of the state on 28th of this month.

Govt directly buys cow urine at Rs.4 per litre. It is said that cow urine purchased like this is used for the prevention of worms.
Already the state government is buying cow dung under Godhan Nyay Yojana. It is given to farmers who grow organic crops. With this, the government is encouraging farmers to use it as an alternative to fertilizers and pesticides.
The procurement of cow urine will be done experimentally only at two selected centers in each district instead of the entire state. The scheme will be expanded further based on the response from the cattle breeders.
The government has issued instructions to the district Collectors to make arrangements to buy cow urine. It must not be said that the way the government has set up a system to promote organic crops is an inspiration to the rest of the states.
