Shock to bjp before lok sabha elections in Punjab! 

Before voting for lok sabha elections in punjab, bjp has suffered a big setback. bjp leader Swarn Salaria joined the aam aadmi party (AAP) on monday (May 13). It is being told that he was angry about the ticket in the lok sabha elections. While in bjp, he was demanding ticket from Gurdaspur lok sabha seat. According to PTI report, bjp leader Swarn Salaria joined AAP in punjab on monday, days after not getting ticket from Gurdaspur lok sabha seat.

Swarna Salaria joins Aam Aadmi Party

Last month, after bjp fielded former mla Dinesh Babbu from Gurdaspur, Swarn Salaria had rebelled against the party. He wanted to contest the lok sabha elections from this constituency on the party's ticket. aam aadmi party said, punjab Chief minister Bhagwant Mann welcomed Salaria into the party.

 Contested the 2017 by-election from Gurdaspur seat.

Swarn Salaria had contested the 2017 by-election from Gurdaspur seat on a bjp ticket after the death of the then mp Vinod Khanna. Salaria was defeated by sunil Jakhar of congress after getting more than three lakh votes. Jakhar is now the chief of BJP's punjab unit. Nitin Nanda, candidate of Shiromani Akali Dal-Bahujan Samaj party alliance from Anandpur in the 2022 assembly elections, has also joined the Aam Aadmi Party. punjab Chief minister Bhagwant Mann included him in the party. aam aadmi party is contesting elections on all 13 seats of Punjab. aam aadmi party has fielded Amansher Singh (Sherry Kalsi) from Gurdaspur. aam aadmi party and congress are not contesting elections together in Punjab. With mutual consent, both the parties have decided to contest the elections separately. There are total 13 lok sabha seats in Punjab. Voting will be held on june 1 in the last phase of lok sabha elections on all the seats in the state. All the parties in the state are putting their full strength into the election campaign.
