When we've imagined the future of the planet, one thing has always been there in our minds: flying vehicles. While several startups are working on these, none are being used as widely as we would like. However, it appears that Asia will soon get its first hybrid flying automobile, according to a Chennai-based business.

Vinata Aeromobility is set to reveal its self-driving hybrid flying car to the public on october 5 at Excel in London, among the most prominent aviation exhibits. “Overjoyed to have been presented to the design model of the soon-to-become Asia's First Hybrid flying automobile by the new group of Vinata AeroMobility,” Civil Aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said in a release after unveiling the vehicle's design. Flying cars would be utilized to carry passengers and merchandise as well as provide medical emergency workers once this takes off.”

With its coaxial quad-rotor, the hovering vehicles will be able to take off or land vertically. It has a total weight of 1,100 kilograms and can take off at 1,300 kg. Electrical batteries would be used to power the motors. The car would be fuelled by biofuel on the roads. It can travel at speeds of 100 to 120 km/h and transport two passengers at once, with a maximum flying period of 60 mins and a maximum altitude of 3,000 feet.
