The bjp spokesperson asserted that no one's phone is tapped illegally by the Modi government. He said everybody has the right to speak freely in a democracy. So, rahul gandhi should submit his phone to the investigaion agency, and a proper enquiry will be held per the Iaw, he said.
Amid a row over the alleged Pegasus spying, rahul gandhi earlier today stated that all his phones are being tapped. He said that home minister amit shah and prime minister Narendra Modi have allegedly used the Pegasus Spyware against indians and it is definitely amounts "treason". The congress former National president said that every phone he uses has been tapped.
"Pegasus spyware is classified by the israel as a weapon which is supposed to be used against terrorists. home minister amit shah and the prime minister Modi have used this weapon against India. They have used it for political gains, they have used it in Karnataka," rahul told reporters.
Gandhi also demanded a supreme Court-monitored investigation into the matter and resignation of the home minister.
