Zika virus cases increases in Kanpur

The Zika Virus has started to increase in Kanpur. Another 30 more cases have been reported and a total of 66 cases now. Uttar Pradesh is headed by chief minister Yogi Adityanath led by BJP. Recently, an air Force official was diagnosed with the Zika virus. Testing has been conducted in the surrounding places near the airbase. At First, 36 cases were found and the necessary treatment was given to them. Now, extra 30 more cases are reported in the city. To control this spread, the health department has been taking serious action.
                Zika virus is a virus spread by Mosquitoes specifically from the Aedes mosquito which also spreads dengue and Chikungunya. Aedes type of mosquito is active during the day and is seen in both outdoor and indoor surroundings. Aedes is also known as Asian tiger mosquitoes. In 2016, brazil has recorded a major number of cases and made awareness among people. The symptoms of the Zika virus are usually mild but pregnant women with zika virus had very serious symptoms and can lead to an unborn child sometimes. The main symptoms are fever, muscle pain, headache, vomiting, etc. There is no specific treatment for it and prevention is to avoid mosquito bites by using repellants, nets, and wearing long sleeves dresses.
