andhra pradesh cabinet which sat the other day to decide the future of amaravati has deferred its decision. After discussing the GN Rao Committee for around two hours, the cabinet had decided to wait for the report of Boston Consulting Group on january 3rd. The government will appoint a High Power Committee which will look into both the reports and will make its recommendations to the Government.

The government is planning to convene a Special assembly Session in january Third Week and will go forward about the three capitals plan. Before tabling the report in assembly, chief minister YS Jagan mohan reddy will fly to delhi and appraise the situation to prime minister narendra modi and Union home minister amit Shah. He will explain to them the reason for this decision and why he could not continue amaravati as the capital.

This is to ensure that the central government also co-operates with capital Change. The State bjp is vertically split about this decision of the Government. While some leaders of the party from uttarandhra and rayalaseema are welcoming this development, bjp State president kanna lakshminarayana and Former Union minister sujana Chowdary are strictly opposing the move of the Government.
