There has been rain in a couple of places in South tamil Nadu. Dry weather prevailed in North tamil Nadu, Puduwai, and Karaikal. The maximum temperature was generally 2° – 4° Celsius higher than normal at a few places in the plains of the interior districts of tamil Nadu, the Meteorological Department said.

Other interior districts of tamil Nadu recorded 38° – 40° Celsius. chennai recorded 39.4° Celsius in Meenambakkam and 36.9° Celsius in Nungambakkam.

 Due to variations in westerly wind speed, 01.05.2024 and 02.05.2024: Western Ghats and adjoining districts may receive light to moderate rain at one or two places. Other districts of tamil Nadu, Puduwai, and Karaikal may experience dry weather.

03.05.2024 to 05.05.2024: Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur at a couple of places over tamil Nadu, Puduvai, and Karaikal.
