On Sunday, the hyderabad police discovered a plot to terrorise and wreck havoc in the city through bombings and lone-wolf attacks. In this regard, three individuals with ties to Pakistan's ISI and LeT were detained in the city's Malakpet, according to hyderabad police on Sunday. In addition to detaining Abdul Zahed, Mohd Sameeuddin, and Maaz Hasan Farooq, the police also seized four hand grenades, a motorcycle, and money. The three, according to the authorities, were organising terrorist acts in the city.

Abdul Zahed had previously been involved in a number of terror-related crimes in hyderabad, including a suicide bombing that occurred in 2005 outside the Begumpet office of the hyderabad City police Commissioner. He frequently communicated with Pakistani ISI-LeT handlers. According to hyderabad police, the three people were taken into custody after police conducted raids after obtaining reliable information. He said that the suspects had received four hand grenades that they intended to use in terror strikes in Hyderabad. The three Hyderabadi absconders who are currently seeking refuge in pakistan and working for the ISI-LeT are accused of directing the actions of the three arrested people.

According to Abdul Zahed's confession, Farhatulla Ghori, Abu Hamzala, and Majeed reestablished contact with him, encouraged him to recruit more terrorists, and provided funding for him to carry out more attacks in Hyderabad. Samiuddin and Maaz Hasan were recruited by Zahed at the direction of handlers in pakistan, according to the police. After being presented to the court, all three defendants were placed on judicial remand.
