Aamir Khan's film 'Lal Singh Chaddha' has been released in theaters amid a boycott on social media and protests on the streets. Ever since the teaser of this film came out, people on social media are seen writing something or the other about aamir khan and his film. But as soon as the release date of the film came closer to 11th August, the 'Laal Singh Chaddha' boycott started trending on Twitter.

People opposed this film a lot. But this is not the first film that is facing opposition. In the year 2022, many films were opposed before 'Lal Singh Chaddha'. Alia Bhatt played an important role in 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' and the film was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The story of the film was based on the life of queen Gangubai of Kamathipura. However, Alia's film had to face opposition. The film was alleged by the local people of Kamathipura that the way Kamathipura is depicted in the film is wrong. This is bringing disrepute to his area. But it is also true that the protest did not have much effect on the film. The film did a collection of 132.01 crores. 

Akshay Kumar was seen in the big budget film 'Samrat Prithviraj' and he played the role of 'Samrat Prithviraj' in the film. The story of the film was based on the life of Samrat. However, before the release, there was a ruckus against this film from social media to the road. Hindu organizations had objections to the name of the film. He accused the makers of insulting Emperor Prithviraj. Also, the film was threatened not to release, after which the name of the film was changed. However, this film also proved to be a flop at the box office.

Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Shamshera' was being said to be a hit before its release. In the film, the image of ranbir kapoor was seen as an action hero and his style was well-liked by the fans. But Sanjay Dutt's look in the film was embroiled in controversies. The actor's look was completed with a red tika and that is why people accused the makers of the film of hurting the sentiments of Hinduism. However, the film proved to be a flop at the box office.

Aamir Khan's film 'Lal Singh Chaddha' earned 12 crores on the first day, which was less than expected. But on the second day, there was a further decline in the earnings of this film. The film earned just Rs 7.44 crore on the second day. Surprisingly, 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', 'Samrat Prithviraj', and 'Shamshera' also earned more on the second day than 'Lal Singh Chaddha'.
