In competitive examinations for tamil Nadu government positions, the government has imposed a compulsory tamil language paper. In this regard, Maithili K. Rajendran, Secretary, Department of Human Resource Management, tamil Nadu, issued a government order. On september 13, Finance minister Palanivel Thiagarajan announced in the assembly that the tamil Language Paper Eligibility Test will be administered in all competitive examinations in order to allow for the recruitment of 100% tamil Nadu youth in government departments and state public sector institutions.

Following that, based on the notion presented by the Secretary, tamil Nadu Civil service Selection, the government has directed that the tamil Language Paper Eligibility Test be made mandatory in all competitive examinations conducted by Examination Agencies. As a result, all competitive examinations for government employment would include a tamil language paper. The curriculum will be for students in the tenth grade. To pass this exam, you must have a score of at least 40%.

The tamil Language qualification Examination will be performed in full in the TNPSC Group-1, Group-2, and Group-2A examinations. General english will be withdrawn from Groups 3 and 4, leaving only the General tamil Language Paper as the evaluation exam. Similar to the Teacher Selection Board, the Medical Personnel Selection Board, the Uniformed Personnel Selection Board, and the Forestry Uniform Selection Board, this approach applies to other competitive tests run by other selection organizations.
