ప్రధానమంత్రి నరేంద్రమోదీ పౌరసత్వ సవరణ బిల్లు గురించి జరుగుతున్న అల్లర్లపై ట్విట్టర్ ద్వారా స్పందించారు. పౌరసత్వ సవరణ బిల్లును వ్యతిరేకిస్తూ హింసాత్మక నిరసనలు చోటు చేసుకోవడం దురదృష్టకరమని అన్నారు. హింసాత్మక నిరసనలు తీవ్ర మనోవేదనకు గురి చేస్తున్నాయని మోదీ అన్నారు. ప్రజల ఆస్తులకు నష్టం కలగకూడదన్నది విలువల్లో భాగం అని మోదీ తెలిపారు.
ప్రజాస్వామ్యంలో ప్రతి అంశాన్ని చర్చల ద్వారా పరిష్కరించుకోవాలని మోదీ అన్నారు. ప్రజా సంపదకు నష్టం చేయడం సరికాదని మోదీ అభిప్రాయం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ప్రజలను విభజించటానికి, ప్రజల మధ్య అవాంతరాలు సృష్టించటానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తున్న వారిని ఎట్టి పరిస్థితులలోను అనుమతించమని మోదీ తెలిపారు. సాధారణ జనజీవనాన్ని దెబ్బ తీయడం సరికాదని మోదీ అన్నారు.
ఆనేక రాజకీయ పార్టీలు పౌరసత్వ సవరణ బిల్లును స్వాగతించాయని, బిల్లు ఉభయ సభల్లో ఆమోదం పొందిందని, బిల్లుకు ఆమోదం దక్కేలా ఎంపీలు కూడా మద్దతు ఇచ్చారని మోదీ అన్నారు. విభిన్న సంసృతులను ఆదరించాలని మోదీ అన్నారు. పౌరసత్వ సవరణ బిల్లు సోదర భావాన్ని పెంపొందించే వందలాది ఏళ్ల భారతీయ నైజానికి అద్దం పడుతుందని అన్నారు.ఈ బిల్లు గురించి భారతీయ పౌరులెవరూ దిగులు చెందాల్సిన అవసరం లేదని అన్నారు.
ఎలాంటి అసత్యాలను నమ్మకుండా ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ హింసకు దూరంగా ఉండాలని కోరుతున్నానని అన్నారు. ప్రతి ఒక్క భారతీయుడు సాధికారత సాధించే దిశగా అడుగులు వేయాలని మోదీ తెలిపారు. కొన్ని స్వార్థ పూరిత శక్తులు సమాజంలో విడగొట్టే చర్యలు చేస్తున్నాయని అన్నారు. ఇది మనకు శాంతి, సామరస్యం, సోదరభావం చెప్పాల్సిన సమయం అని అన్నారు. ఇది దేశాన్ని అభివృద్ధి పథంలో ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్లాల్సిన సమయమని మోదీ ట్వీట్లలో పేర్కొన్నారు. పౌరసత్వ సవరణ బిల్లుకు వ్యతిరేకంగా ఢిల్లీలోని జామియా మాలియా యూనివర్సిటీ విద్యార్థులు ఆందోళనలు చేపట్టిన విషయం తెలిసిందే. ఈ ఆందోళనలు తీవ్రమై ఉద్రిక్త పరిస్థితులకు దారితీశాయి.
